Site Help

When you submit a tutorial, it will not show up on the site right away. We do this to prevent bad content from making it to the site. Every submitted tutorial will be reviewed by an admin. Once reviewed, a submitted tutorial will either be accepted or deleted. Only accepted tutorials will reach the rest of the site, free for all to see.

Reasons why a tutorial might get deleted range from malicious to just poorly written. We do not want this site to become a dumping ground for poor quality tutorials. We especially do not want any content making it to the public that is harmful in any way.

Submit Help

When submitting a link there are a few things to make sure you do. Fist make sure that when you link to the tutorial or artical, you include the full address. That means including the http:// . If you do not include this, your tutorial may not make it past admin approval. One other thing that can cause some problems is not including the domain name to the site you are linking to. Don't forget to add whatever is past the http:// and up to the .com or whatever.

Writing a tutorial here is a bit more involved, but we think it will be worth it. When writing a tutorial, I recommend first writing it out in a word processor. This way spelling and grammar errors can get caught soon. When writing you can use some BBC (Bulletin Board Code). We allow for [b] - Bold, [i] - Italic, [u] - Underline, and [code] - pre block. The code tag will place whatever falls between the opening tag and closing tag inside a HTML pre block. This will allow you to have indents, and make the code clearly visible to the user. We also have a few custom tags you can have fun with; [title] - Creates a nice title, and [img #.ext] - embed images uploaded with the uploader under the tutorial body text area. When using the [img] code, you will have to know what number and what file extension to use. If you uploaded a JPG into the fist upload slot, then the img code would be [img 1.jpg].

Forum Help

Our forums are a great place to ask questions or just chat. However we do have some rules we would like our users to follow...
We don't like spam. We don't like it at all. If you post spam, your account will be deleted, and your IP could be banned. Since forum accounts are tied to the rest of the site, if your account is deleted there, you will not be able to submit links or write tutorials.

  • Don't spam
  • Posting of hateful or otherwise illegal material is not allowed
  • Using excessive profanity is looked down upon, so try and avoid it
  • Avoid being disrespectful if you can.

If you do get banned, you can try and contact me and plead your case. I may or may not unban you; it all depends on what you did. But I feel that should go without saying.
